This backyard was in dire circumstances, the walls, patio and lake access all needed reconstruction. In an effort to maximize and soften the space, a large swath of lawn takes center stage. New concrete steps, walk and outcropping walls were incorporated. Plantings in and around the fire-pit provide screening and allow for separation between neighbors. Most waterfront properties lose the incorporation of a traditional lawn - something this client didn’t want to sacrifice. The end result is an imaginative design which celebrates the importance of outdoor living.
